Habib Turki is the Chief Development Officer at the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA). In this capacity, Mr. Turki leads the FIA’s Strategic Development Department, with responsibilities encompassing global expansion, advocacy, and capacity-building across the automotive and motorsport sectors. Through his leadership, he has driven initiatives that strengthen FIA’s role as a central authority in sustainable mobility and motorsport diplomacy, while also advancing the organization’s impact on an international scale.
With an extensive background in international trade, development, and tourism, particularly through his work with the United Nations, Mr. Turki has established significant partnerships with key institutions, including various United Nations agencies and international organizations. His work has enabled the FIA to launch critical initiatives that include the modernization of international driving permits, historical vehicle preservation, border-crossing/customs systems, and comprehensive programs to support youth inclusion and diversity in motorsport.
Mr. Turki is currently spearheading FIA’s efforts in regions of strategic importance, including China, where he is developing a platform to enhance engagement with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and fostering collaboration between regional stakeholders and international bodies. His approach is both collaborative and visionary, seeking to build bridges across sectors to achieve the FIA’s goals in sustainability and innovation.
