Xu Zhongwei

Xu Zhongwei, a native of Wuhan, Hubei Province, graduated from the Renmin Business School with a doctorate in management. He is also a leader, professor, and master's supervisor in the exhibition management program of the School of Tourism Sciences at Beijing International Studies University. He has been engaged in the teaching of convention and exhibition for a long time, with his research fields including festival and event management as well as convention and exhibition tourism management. In 2010, he was awarded the title of "Beijing Young and Middle-aged Backbone Teacher"; in 2015, he was selected into the Outstanding Young Expert Training Program of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the People's Republic of China. In addition, he has led and participated in more than 10 research projects at or above the provincial and ministerial levels, and published more than 10 professional papers on convention and exhibition. He once served as deputy director of the Convention and Exhibition Branch of the National Tourism Industry Steering Committee, a member of the expert group of the Beijing Organizing Committee for the Olympic Games, and an expert for the Beijing Convention and Exhibition Industry Development Report.
