Pan Jianjun, born in 1970, holds an MBA from Fudan University and is a senior exhibition management specialist. He previously served as a government official and, starting in 1998, became the Chief Representative in China for the UAE China Commodity Trade Center. Later, he served as the General Manager of Shanghai International Advertising & Exhibition Co., Ltd. Since 2011, he has been the Chairman of Zhejiang Meorient Commerce & Exhibition Inc., leading the company to become a leading enterprise in China's exhibition industry.
Pan also serves in various roles, including Member of the Hangzhou Qiantang District CPPCC, Vice President and Director of the Exhibition Statistics Committee of the China Convention and Exhibition Economy Research Association, Deputy Director of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Commercial Sub-Council, as well as guest professor at multiple universities and a member of several expert think tanks in the exhibition industry.
For 13 consecutive years, he has been the editor-in-chief of the Annual Statistical Report on China’s Exhibition Industry and participated in compiling A Chronicle of Major Events in China’s Exhibition Industry (1949-2023). Under his leadership, Meorient went public in 2019, becoming the first exhibition company listed on the A-share market. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the company innovatively launched the world’s first fully online digital exhibition model, contributed to the formulation of several industry standards, and obtained multiple national patents, making significant contributions to the development of China's exhibition industry.
